Accumulators/Pulsation Dampeners
These devices help to absorb pulsations that are created in a high pressure pump system, which are due to the movement of the water from the high pressure pump. Pulsations can reach up to nearly 30% in a triplex pump. These pulsations will reduce the life of the system components including accessories, plumbing, fittings as well as any solid surfaces that are directly attached to the discharge line(s) proceeding from the high pressure pump. Giant offers a range of pulsation dampeners up to 624 GPM (2361 L/min) and up to 10,000 PSI (689 Bar). Common materials are carbon steel, 303 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel. Elastomers are available in Nitrile, Viton and EPDM.
Chemical Injectors
These devices inject chemicals or soap downstream from the high pressure pump. Using a Venturi effect, the injectors inject the chemical at either a fixed or adjustable rate. Various sizes are available to provide the correct size for the specific application.
Couplers
For direct drive applications, Giant offers a variety of American-made couplers. These devices help transmit the force from an electric motor, gasoline engine, diesel engine, hydraulic motor or air motor directly to the crankshaft of the high pressure pump. Fabricated of steel, aluminum and plastic.
Electric Clutch
These devices allow the driver (electric motor or gasoline engine) of a pump to continue to run while disengaging the crankshaft of the high pressure pump. This gives one control of the flow of the pump and allows the driver to continue to operate in other areas of a pump system. They are designed for pulley drive systems. Current pumps that use electric clutches are P200, P300, P400, P54, P55, P56, P57, P58, P59, and MP Series.
Filters
This device helps to protect the high pressure pumps and turbo nozzles from fluid contamination. Designed with easy-to clean filter media, they are an essential part of nearly all high pressure pump systems. Without inlet filters, pump and accessory life may be reduced as foreign particles will prematurely wear seals and valve parts in a system.
Flow Actuated Unloaders
These are flow-actuated valves which control the flow of the water to the nozzle(s). During bypass mode, all of the water is directed back to the supply. Since the pressure is relieved in the discharge line, high-pressure fluid is not trapped in the discharge portion of the system. The great advantage of this is that it is easier to start up the system again and provide additional safety because an operator does not feel the “kick” when a gun is engaged as the pressure develops in a few seconds (as opposed to immediately with a pressure-actuated valve). This valve is typically used for applications which require frequent on/off action, such as pressure washers. They are not designed for multi-gun operations. Flow ranges are from 1.5 GPM (5.7 l/min) to 13 GPM (49 L/min) and pressure range is from 0 PSI to 15,000 PSI (to 1000 Bar). Metal materials are forged brass and stainless steel and elastomers will be either Nitrile or Viton.
Gearboxes
These devices connect high pressure pumps to gasoline or diesel engines. With a built-in gear ratio, they allow a fast running engine drive a pump at a slow speed. They are currently available as stand-alone units for P200, P300, P400 and GP7100 series pumps.
Hydraulic Kits
These kits adapt the high pressure pump to a hydraulic motor. Designed to fit standard SAE motors, each kit correctly aligns the hydraulic motor so that the pump can be driven in a direct manner. They are currently available for P200, P300, P400, P54, P55, P56, P57, P58, P59, SP, MP and LP pumps

Lances
Lance tubes serve as conduits to get the water to the nozzle and therefore closer to where the work is performed. Giant only offers stainless steel lance tubes, in either ¼” or ½” tubes that are rated up to a maximum of 7250 PSI (500 Bar). The lance tube assemblies come with molded or vented grips and are rated up to 340 °F (170 °C). For higher pressure and flow applications, shoulder stocks are available. The length of the tubes vary from 15.5” (394 mm) to 84” (2135 mm).
Lovejoy Coupler Sets
For direct drive applications, Giant offers a variety of American-made couplers. These devices help transmit the force from an electric motor, gasoline engine, diesel engine, hydraulic motor or air motor directly to the crankshaft of the high pressure pump. Fabricated of steel, aluminum and plastic.
Pressure Gauges
These devices display the operating pressure on either the discharge or inlet side of a high pressure pump system. These devices are glycerin-filled and are available with brass or stainless steel fittings. Pressure ranges are from 0 to 58000 PSI (0-4000 Bar).
Pressure Regulators
Pressure regulators maintain established system pressure in the discharge line and at the pump head. It allows excess flow to be by-passed back to inlet of pump, to a tank, or to drain. The pressure regulator also keeps the system at constant pressure in applications where the demand changes or when a trigger gun is released, solenoid (gate) valve is closed or nozzle is clogged, thus by-passing all excess flow.
Pressure Switches
These devices are activated by pressure (or lack of pressure) in a high-pressure system. A piston is connected to a micro-switch that will either complete or interrupt an electrical circuit. Common applications for them are for turning on/off burners in hot water pressure washers and sending a signal to start or stop an electric motor. These devices are available in brass or stainless steel.
Pressure-Actuated Unloaders
Pressure-actuated valves control the flow of the water to the nozzle(s). During bypass mode, all of the water is directed back to the supply at nearly zero pressure. This valve is typically used in applications in which frequent on/off action is required at the nozzle, such as; pressure washer, central cleaning station or hydro-excavation. While slightly different design concepts are used, these unloaders typically will actuate at 5 to 20% above the operating pressure of the system. Flow ranges are from 0.5 GPM (2 l/min) to 625 GPM (2366 L/min) and pressure range is from 100 PSI to 50,750 PSI (7 to 3500 Bar). In lower pressure applications, a manually adjusted spring is used to control the flow; however, pneumatic and electric controls can also be used. Typical metal materials are forged brass, 303 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel and elastomers will be either Nitrile, Viton or Teflon.
Pulsator Valves
These devices are designed to assist sewer cleaning hose through tight corners and around bends. They disable one of the inlet valves (on a triplex pump), which adds pulsation to the downstream hose and nozzle. This extra pulsation then allows the operator to move the hose further downstream. They can be installed on nearly all types of pumps including P200, P300, P400, MP Series, LP Series and GP Series pumps.
Pump Oil
The correct type of oil helps Giant pumps run longer. Most oils will not hold up under the tight tolerances of the American and German-made pumps. Giant offers two types of oil designed to work with our pumps; a basic type for lower horsepower applications, and amore industrial oil for longer life.
Pump Safety Devices
These are designed to prevent catastrophic failure in a pump system. They are used as a back up to an unloader or regulator valve and relieve pressure in the system should there be some type of dramatic increase in the system pressure. Rated from 100 PSI (7 Bar) to 58,000 PSI (4000 Bar), they also can handle the entire flow range of the pumps.

Shut Off Guns
Giant provides the most durable guns available on the market. From the American-made brands to German and Italian gun/lance assemblies, Giant has a shut-off gun for a wide variety of applications. With a flow range up to 32 GPM (120 L/min) and a pressure range up to 43,500 PSI (3000 Bar), Giant can provide the right gun for your application. Popular markets include pressure washing, car wash, sewer cleaning, hydro-excavating, food processing, tube/bundle heat exchanger cleaning, surface preparation and more. Giant’s shut-off guns serve as an on/off valve at the point of use and generally control the flow of the liquid and can be operated manually, pneumatically and electronically. Gun types include rear load, dump gun and linear designs.
Thermal Relief Valves
These safety devices help to protect a pump by removing hot water that is present on the inlet side of the high pressure pump, which allows cooler water to remain. They work in an automatic manner and automatically reset as the temperature falls below the set point. The key benefit of the thermal relief valve is that it allows an operator to run a unit in a bypass mode for an extended period, which reduces the changes of premature seal wear on the high pressure pump.
Turbo Nozzles
Giant’s original Turbo LaserTM nozzle has been helping people clean faster for more than 20 years. The nozzles take the power of a zero-degree nozzle and rotate it in either a circular or linear fashion. This allows the user to clean up to 70% faster than with a conventional zero-degree nozzle. Giant’s line of turbo nozzles range from 2000 PSI (140 Bar) up to 36,250 PSI (2500 Bar). Some of the common applications include pressure washer, car wash, hydro-excavating, deburring, descaling and many more.
